Ace Boots Oxford Shoes Lot.2001 12 Months In Use

Before 1970s, most of the leather shoes/boots are slowly made by individual boots craftsman and at the time, the leathers are not chemically dyed but colors are all hand-painted which are not as stable as nowadays .  So with many wears, you may see some natural tan underneath  will come up little by little . It was a "Little Problem" for the customers who keen to keep the colors of leathers . However, some of Japanese "American Boots" lovers reckon the "uneven dyed" leathers are beautiful and age very soulfully with wears especially when they see too many footwear are massively produced in big modern factory which look almost exactly same and nothing last long these days ...

Starting from the late 1980s , The American Boots become a trend in Japan and more and more Japanese who love quality boots always like to talk about the craftsmanship and "Black/Brown Tea Cord Leathers" . So what is the "Black/Brown Tea Cord Leathers" ? They are actually the leathers are black or brown color uneven dyed (hand painted ) and being with many wears, the natural tan will come up little by little . In western , people just call it as "Uneven Dyed Leathers" . However, Japanese give it a  cute name like some very warm traditional Japanese green tea ^^ 

The "Brown Tea Cord Leather" should be the leather will appear some original tan very slowly with wears. And with some good leather cares, the leather will still remain some dark brown color , however, if you dont really do leather cares frequently , you may see some original tan color come up easily with many wears and here are the photos of my Ace Boots Oxford Shoes Lot.2001 12 Months In Use as below:

In these 12 months, I only did a leather care when I keep on wearing them for 3 months . Then after , I did not do any leather cares, I love the leather becomes slightly two toned like the way how indigo denims age to ~

Ace Boots x Corlection Oxford Boots 2002 Half a Year in Use

Today we would like to share some aging pictures of this pair of oxford boots. This oxford boots are from our very first collaboration project with Ace Boots company of USA half a year ago. Ace boots is one of the best shoe makers in USA, we are so honor to work shoemaking artisans from Ace Boots. Our customers are also really appreciate these top quality shoes, this is a pair from one of them, after a half year in use.

The user takes this oxford 2-3 days per week, as you can tell from the picture, the leather goes even more shinning through the using, This customer take a really good care them, every 2 weeks he will clean them and do a leather care using The Real Mccoy's horse oil.

Through a half year using, the leather gets much more softer. But still, overall seeing, the boots themselves still keep a really good shape.

This customer told us this pair of oxford is definitely the best oxford he ever try. "Before this pair, I always bring a sneaker in my bag when I goes to work. Normal dress shoes are too stiff, I don't want to wear them after work. But Ace Boots make the dress shoe feels like a sneaker. The Cats Paw outsole is also very outdoorness, some times I wear them when I go fishing."

Ace Boots X CoRLection Lot 2001 Oxford shoes 3 months in use

We have many customers purchased Ace Boots and they all fall in love with the comfort and the way how they age to... This is my own pair which I have been wearing them for 3 months ~

Even the boots are made of heavy American cowhide leather but they feel more like a pair of lightweight sneakers when you put the feet in... 

I wear this pair of boots quite regularly like 5~6 days /week and never really take some cares of boots so they do age quite quickly 

I have a very bad habit is that I always step my left shoes on the right shoes when I talk to the customers ... Due to the brown tea cord color of the shoes, you may see a lot of original tan colors come up and they do look like a pair of vintage shoes in some way

The leather shoelaces had same color tone as the shoes and after 3 months, you may find they look slightly two-toned

the front part just goes up a little bit after 3 months in use which makes the shape look even better with wears ...

The calfskin insole was cream white color and after 3 months in use, it turns to be some vintage tan color and has its own beaitiful sheen

 In the same time, the linings of the boots were vintage tan and some areas turn to be cream white with many wears...
