In the beginning of time, there existed the powerful Dragon King who had 9
sons. This is the story of his first son -- The Earth Dragon.
The Earth Dragon was born into a dark and cold universe filled with nothingness. He soon grew sad and bored of this existence, so he decided to keep himself amused by flying through the vast universe creating planets and stars to play with.
But all this effort made his hunger grow stronger and stronger, but there was nothing but dirt and rock to eat. His hunger wouldn't stop and so out of desperation he started to eat 48 of his scales, one by one, until he had a bold spot on his belly. But still he was not satisfied. And so he ate his own tail to sustain his life.
This came to symbolise the Ouroboros, the ancient symbol depicting a dragon eating its own tail representing the eternal cycle of renewal - creation out of destruction, Life out of Death.
On the 24th of October these '48 Dragon scales' will be born on earth as 48 limited edition t-shirts created in collaboration with Momotaro Japan.
Added to the left sleeve of the traditional 'Going to Battle' white lines, will be the addition on the right sleeve of the Earth Dragon biting, devouring, eating its own tail. This symbolises the birth of the 'Dragon Clan'.
Also representing the Earth Dragon will be the choice of cotton from Africa. Zimbabwean cotton is regarded as one of the finest and rarest cottons in the world. A perfect offering to the Earth Dragon.
Three different variations will be released -- Dragon Smoke (Black), Dragon Blood (Red) and Dragon Flame (Orange).
