How To Choose The Size(s) Of Your Japanese Denims

The sizings for  most of the Japanese denims are always very detailed. So for most of you could wear couple different sizes for different styles . Today we would like to show you how our staff ---- Kevin choose his own pair of  Pure Blue Japan 011   ( Kevin is 177cm tall , quite a slim guy)

Pure Blue Japan 011 is a pair of 13.5oz , slim tapered fit denims . If you are a big fan of skinny fit , We may suggest you to get the size which is almost exact fit for you body as Kevin wears size 29 of PBJ 011.

There is only 0.75'' left in the waist (which you can only put one finger in ) and 0.25'' bigger in the thigh part . Normally we suggest our customers who love "Super Skinny Fit" do a 30 degree warm soak (25 minutes) before wears . The denims will shrink around 0.75 ~ 1'' in the waist and 0.25'' ~ 0.5'' in other dimensions .  After a 30 degree warm soak you may feel the denims will get shrunk to slight tight or you may not easily to button up the denims. So at that moment , the only thing you need to do is to tuck in the denims then sit down and play your PC games (or watch some movies) for 10 minutes , the denims will stretch a little bit and fit exactly for your body ~

The customers who love "Slim Tapered fit" and ask for comfort  may need a pair of Japanese denims which fit 1.5'' bigger in the waist (which you can put 2 fingers in the waist) and 0.5'' bigger in the thigh part as Kevin wear a pair of size 30 PBJ 011 .

Before wears, we suggest you should do a 30 ~ 60 degree warm soak or cold machine wash . The denims will shrink almost one size down and stretch to a slim tapered fit (still have room in the thigh and knee part ) with wears

And also , this is our favourite  sizing for a pair of Japanese denims which is not too skinny but still looks sharp!

We met some customers who asked us why we did not carry many traditional straight fit denims . The only reason is if you wear 1 size up for some slim tapered (or slim straight) fit denims that we carry, most of them will fit you well like a pair of straight (or straight tapered) fit denims , so this is the example as Kevin wears size 31 of Pure Blue Japan 011~

We do think so the most of amazing part for one pair of quality Japanese denims is they do have some shrinkages after soaking/washing that you can always control the sizings/fits .

This is one of the reasons why we only keen for quality Japanese denims , you may have so much fun to "customize" the fit for your own pair of Japanese denims!
