Wu Tun X Ai Weiwei "AI Can't Be Here" Tee

Today we will release a special item - "Ai Can't Be Here" Tee.

Ai Wei Wei is a Chinese Contemporary Artist with a International Reputation. He is famous for co-design the Beijing "Bird Nest" Stadium. In fashion area, he has several projects with Comme des Garçons including interior design of CDG Hong Kong Store and also a "Ai Wei Wei X Comme des Garçons" capsule collection.

Ai is not just an famous artist, he is also an political activists in China. The 2008 Sichuan earthquake caused death of almost 100,000 people. There are thousands of public school students die in the earthquake because of the inadequately engineered schoolrooms. Chinese government refuse to public the names or even numbers of dead students, since the inadequately engineered schoolrooms is a result of corruption.

Ai Weiwei and his hundreds of volunteers launched a project called "Citizen Investigation" aim to public the numbers and basic informations about the dead students. Wu Tun is an Chinese artists graduated from Central Saint Martins. He is now work as an assistant for Ai Wei Wei. He launching this project called "Ai Can't Be Here" to let more people know about Ai's persecuted grounded situation. You can find out more story about this project on:
